National Day of Service

Happy MLK Day!

I was just finished up  a community service project with my sorority sisters to commemorate the national day of service when I started thinking of ways to challenge makeup lovers to get involved and potentially devote themselves to a cause through a shared love of cosmetics.  

Coincidentally, one of the easiest ways is to continue to buy makeup.

Whenever you buy a MAC Viva Glam lipstick know that the proceeds are going towards funding help for men, women and children who are affected by HIV and AIDS. 

These lipsticks come in six permanent shades (Viva Glam I-VI) with a number of supplemental limited edition shades that are often endorsed by celebrities. 

The most admirable part of this program is that MAC keeps no percentage of the money spent, but that 100% of the $15 retail price goes to the cause itself through the MAC Aids Fund.

This line of makeup is meant to raise funds to stop human trafficking in developing nations. 

- Our mission is to help garner awareness for human trafficking by raising funds through cosmetics, to provide resources for those on the forefront of change, as well as victims of trafficking.

Unlike M.A.C. the proceeds from every product in the Radiant Cosmetics brand are devoted to this cause. Buy a lipstick, or a shadow, or a liner and know that your money is going  to a good cause.
